hackdorte@20007 1 Antimicro is a graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls
hackdorte@20007 2 to a gamepad. This program is useful for playing PC games using a gamepad
hackdorte@20007 3 that do not have any form of built-in gamepad support. However, you can use
hackdorte@20007 4 this program to control any desktop application with a gamepad; on Linux,
hackdorte@20007 5 this means that your system has to be running an X environment in order to
hackdorte@20007 6 run this program.
hackdorte@20007 7
hackdorte@20007 8 This program is currently supported under various Linux distributions,
hackdorte@20007 9 Windows (Vista and later), and FreeBSD. At the time of writing this,
hackdorte@20007 10 antimicro works in Windows XP but, since Windows XP is no longer supported,
hackdorte@20007 11 running the program in Windows XP will not be officially supported. However,
hackdorte@20007 12 efforts will be made to not intentionally break compatibility with Windows
hackdorte@20007 13 XP.
hackdorte@20007 14
hackdorte@20007 15 Also, FreeBSD support will be minimal for now. I don't use BSD on a daily
hackdorte@20007 16 basis so the main support for FreeBSD is being offered by Anton. He has
hackdorte@20007 17 graciously made a port of antimicro for FreeBSD that you can find at the
hackdorte@20007 18 following URL: http://www.freshports.org/x11/antimicro/.
