1 psutil (process and system utilities) is a cross-platform library for
2 retrieving information on running processes and system utilization
3 (CPU, memory, disks, network, sensors) in Python.
4 It is useful mainly for system monitoring, profiling and limiting process
5 resources and management of running processes.
6 It implements many functionalities offered by classic UNIX command line
7 tools such as ps, top, iotop, lsof, netstat, ifconfig, free and others.
9 Supported Python versions are 2.6, 2.7, 3.4+ and PyPy.
