68 The SliTaz GNU/Linux is an international association based in
69 Switzerland and respects the Swiss Civil Code. The association is
70 comprised of a committee and members and provides financial and
71 staff remuneration. Members meet once a year at a general meeting and
72 decide for example, the activities of the association or the membership
73 fees. Each member has a right to vote on individual proposals and can
74 use the hardware (inc. cdrom, T-shirts) of the association to help setup
75 a working group to organize events.

78 The project takes on the scale and demands of the
79 professional world more and more frequently and the creation of the
80 association is seen as something of a necessity. We chose an association
81 economic model to meet the needs of the project and also provide solid and high
82 quality services to our users and business partners who wish to sponser

95 SliTaz is a project using the open development model and all the
96 work is done by a community of volunteers. Our goal is to improve and
97 provide better organization of contributions. The project's
98 friendliness, support, update sites, maintenance services, technical
99 support and management teams are topics that we would like to
100 address and professionalize.

103 To achieve this, we would ideally like 1 or 2 developers
104 to work part-time or full-time on SliTaz. They would have
105 the responsibility to consolidate and optimize existing systems while
106 dealing with new demands. The various sub-projects would also be more
107 dynamic and would see new features published much more frequently.

113 The association is open to any persons. Becoming a member
114 allows you to support the project and ensure its sustainability through an
115 annual fee.

120 a copy of the statutes. The minimum contribution was set at 40 Euros for

132 There are various ways to financially support the association, become
133 a member or sponsor, or make a one-off payment via PayPal online secure
134 services or by using a bank transfer. For a micropayment you can use Flattr,
135 which is a very nice service with open-source in mind. The project also has
136 some logistical needs, any donated equipment in good working order is
137 welcomed.
